We need your help! Now YOU can become a part of the Fix Georgia Pets spay/neuter mission by adopting a trap for our TNR initiatives. Help us purchase a trap and we’ll put you, your family or your organization name on it!

These traps will be used to lovingly Trap, Spay/Neuter, and Release cats in communities throughout Georgia.
Your Adopt-A-Trap will be designated with a metal name plate.
Guidelines for Adopter Name Plate:
- 1”x 3” Metal Name Plate – 2 lines maximum (see sample above)
- All metal name plates will be printed on the same color plate, and with the same style font to match.
- Each will be numbered.
- No profanity, political, or religious views, nothing criminal or gang related verbiage will be accepted. All engraving must be approved by Fix Georgia Pets before printing.
- After your “adoption” is completed we will confirm your engraving details via email. Once engraved and placed on a trap, we will send you a photo of your adopted trap.
- Name Plate will be placed on each trap adopted. No special placements will be accepted.
We currently are in need of 250 traps which are required for several big TNR events throughout Georgia.
HOW THEY WORK:
When a cat steps on the trip plate, the front door drops by using gravity – no springs are involved. This makes the trap quieter than a spring-loaded trap and virtually eliminates any risk of injury to a cat or kitten from the falling door. And the front door locks automatically with no chance of the door opening if the trap accidentally rolls over.
This is a tough and durable trap, yet it only weighs 9 pounds, which makes it much easier to carry than heavier traps.
These new gravity traps from Tomahawk Live Trap, co-designed and endorsed by Neighborhood Cats.
It also includes great TNR features:
- Extra-Large trip plates to prevent cats from stepping over the plate and stealing bait without setting off the trap,
- Large hand guard to prevent handlers from getting scratched and where we put our label and the adopter name plate,
- A sliding gate-style rear door that allows easy baiting of the trap as well as safe and easy transfer or release of captured cats and,
- Double handles to improve stability when carrying a trapped cat. Â
 These traps are built to last a lifetime and come powder coated. “This is the best TNR trap available today,” says Neighborhood Cats.
